My husband and I bought our house about 2.5 years ago and looked at it as a fixer-upper opportunity. I like to call us the Chip & Joanna Gaines of Ottawa! Only now have we just finished our last project on the house and can finally enjoy the fruits of our labour, but I am truly proud of how much I have learned during this phase, and what we have accomplished.
I am a creative at heart, a crafter, always have been! With my home I’ve thoroughly enjoyed the challenge of maintaining a minimalist style, while also allowing for spontaneity and DIYs. I’ve thought critically about the experience, and learned a lot about the concept of hygge.
I’ve recently taken a liking to creating yarn wall hangings and have plans to open a local online shop this year. I really enjoy pottery classes, creating new art with outdated canvas, creating a minimalist way of decorating our sports den, and I’m really good at making crafts out of sticks found in my yard :)
